Looking for some advice.

Hello to all the fine folks in camping land, can someone please tell me if there is something to put on the awning to prevent it from dry rotting?
Also, what is the gooey stuff that is used to seal the seams on the roof to prevent water leaks?
Thank you.

When in storage I put a couple of lengths of plastic 4 inch plastic gutter I purchased at Home Depot. It is flexible and goes over the awning roll nicely. I store mine outside so I had to experiment as the wind would blow them off. I finally used some velcro on the top of the awning roll matching to the inside of the plastic gutter. That seems to be working. I would not go down the road with like that but for storage I think it does as I wanted. So much so I think when the weather gets warmer I will do my topper as well. Comes in 10 foot lengths for about $10.00.

I don't put anything over my awning. The sealant for the roof is called self-leveling lap sealant. Most use a product by Dicor. My roof material is TPO made by Alpha Systems so I use their self-leveling lap sealant.
