Does anyone know what this piece is and what it is used for? It is on a Sierra 5th wheel. Thank you.

I believe this is a holder/support for your electric/lp lines in the slide. On mine the lines and cords are attached to this so when the slide goes in and out it keeps them neat and keeps them from getting kinked.

Correct... it is the 'folding' (actually bending) support for the supply lines to the slide.

Many reports here of them breaking and the replacements breaking.
Some have added steel hinges to the ends where they fasten to the underneath.

I had that happen to my replacement part while my 5'r has been sitting still in an RV part for the past 9 months. Brand new part, still broke after one trip from San Diego to Arizona. I will be installing a quality metal hinge to repair the break.

One end will be on a metal tube about a half inch in diameter. The other end is screwed to probably a piece of angle iron with two screws. Crawl under and look. It will be very plain where it is mounted. BTY, simply taking the broken piece off and screwing the remaining back will get you by until you can order a replacement.

Yeah, I was under it when I took the picture but couldn't see where the broken end was supposed to be mounted.

Pictures as Requested

This is from our Tracer 235, but should be pretty darn similar.
Good Luck

I know I am late to the party but I was working on a blowout rig and had to look these up. Yours looks like a lippert flexguard double. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00S2ICI5W..._VDqNzb54YPET8
