Removing Shower wall surround

I need to remove the shower wall surround as it has cracked due to the factory pushing the rivets in too far and stressing the plastic. All is good except I can't figure out how to take the bar off that holds the shower head for up and down adjustment. Any ideas???? there is 2 elbows 1 - top and 1 - bottom that hold the vertical bar, each elbow has a cover which I assume once removed there are some screws that hold it. I can't get them covers off??
HELP Thanks 2104 saq365
