Sewer gas smell

Help please.....

When DW runs water into kitchen sink drain (galley tank) we get a serious sewer gas smell into the camper. Doesn't happen until we run water into the sink drain and only lasts while the water is draining into the galley tank.

We also have the sewer gas smell when stopping at rest areas and/or campgrounds. It seems stronger in the lower bath area. I have tried opening a ceiling vent while driving on the road but it did not seem to have any effect when we stopped (sewer smell was still there).

Any ideas on why we would get this smell back into the coach?

We have a Sierra 378FB 5th wheel. This is the front bath model and has a 1/2 bath just forward of the kitchen on the kitchen/living room floor level.

Locate your air emitter under the sink...

Swing to big box store of choice or a plumbing supply. About $5. Replace.

I just had to change mine out in the galley this past week.. I bought two, one for backup.
