Water in 5th wheel nose cone

That's exactly what the service dept did. I'm going to check the marker lights next. The dealer said that they are going to call FR and recommend it go back to the factory after the season.

Hey Dakota or Sierra...did you ever have water on the floor inside of your camper? I went out and checked mine yesterday after a heavy rain and the nose is full and the carpet next to our bed is wet. I'm thinking it has to be the slide out now.

I never had any water leaking into my camper from the front cap leak. I did, however, have a leak into the front closet that was coming from the roof seal. That is what I taped and resealed the roof seal for the front cap. No more leaking into the front closet after that. Good luck on find and fixing your leak. I would definitely check your slide. I did seal my bedroom slide while I was sealing everything else. Just to be on the safe side.

No water ever made it inside the coach just the nose. I caught my leak early and was able to make the repairs quickly. Get yourself a 4" roll of Eternabond tape and seal your roof at the cap and EPDM roof. Also look just above the gutter where the spout is and make sure it's properly sealed.

Will do. The strange thing with my issue is that the water is getting inside the box of the actual slide out. What I mean is that the floor of the slide out to the right of our bed is very wet. But I still can't figure out how it's getting into the nose.

We were camping a few weeks ago and had some torrential rains. When we went to pack up I noticed a torrent of water run out from the cap when I raised the jacks. After having read all of the posts I'm hoping they can solve my problem sooner rather than later. It's going to get worked on tomorrow. I'll post updates as I find out!

Hey Hoser, I'm going to post a pic of a place to check if there is caulk. Mine had barely any. It's on the outside of the master bedroom slide out.

The bottom piece of trim/ capping had barely any caulk and I noticed water on the carpet inside my slide. Thought maybe the water was getting into the nose that way possibly.

Thanks for the pics, I'll have them look. It's interesting mine had some water on the floor at the front of the bed. It wasn't from the slide though. I think it was the water running down on the inside of the unit. Once it's inside the cap if the level gets high enough it will drain backwards. I've got a link to a video ill post tomorrow showing this. I raised the jacks really high when I got home and water was draining back into the structure of the unit. It was running out everywhere.

I believe that. Mine did the same thing when I was hooking up. Poured out by my front jacks.

I cannot get your video to play but look at the repairs I did in my other posts and your issue should go away. FR did a really poor job of sealing the top edges of the caps. Easy fix with Eternabond and caulk.

Mine was very similar. When I raised mine I would get gallons of water pouring out through the LP bays.

They resealed across the top and sealed the side marker lights, so far, so dry.

Thanks for all the input, the dealer called and said there was a big gap between the rubber roof and the cap, I pick it up tomorrow! I hope this has it licked. I'll definitely be making sure everything is sealed tight with eternabond.

Dealer used self levelling sealant. I'll be buying some eternabond to ensure a proper seal. I think I'll use it on all the joints on the roof.

Check the capping on your front slide also.
