Our 2011 31TS landing gear work fine without being plugged to shore power, so the battery must be ok. However, no other 12v works, the monitor panel, slideout lights, etc. Any ideas? I cam't find a problem with the inverter...
There is a heavy red wire that goes to a current limiter (covered with a red rubber guard). On the opposite side of the current limiter there is another red wire that goes to your Power Center; and several green wires that have blade fuses. One of those green fuses is your landing gear. Also one or more green fuses are for your electric slides.
If your Landing Gear works and your slide(s) work but nothing inside does then the feed wire (red) to the power converter is the problem.
It goes from the terminal of the current limiter to another current limiter under the pin box (in a 5th wheel) or under the tongue (in a travel Trailer). THAT current limiter is to protect the battery from overloads coming from your tow vehicle. IT is located "in the elements" and corrodes VERY easily. Locate that current limiter and check for continuity. Some have a little tab on it when it blows and can be reset with a small screw driver. Others are auto resetting but can be "open" due to corrosion.
