After a Year of Ownership

Tomorrow, the warranty is up on my 2016 FR262RGX. During the past year, there have been some small issues that I had to go back to the dealer for warranty repair. Some, I could have done myself, if I had had any idea as to where to find the problem area. Like, front jacks would only work with remote and not external switch. Problem was that fuse had blown using the manual with (apparently, if you hold it a tad too long, the fuse goes). I had no idea where motor / fuse was located, but no know it is on right hand side of storage area, behind back panel. Who'd have thought?? Overall, I am pretty pleased with the unit. It is good for two people and a small pet. Past that, you get crowded. The only item I am working through now is I discovered a small tear / hole in the sofa sleeper where the seat cushion flips over to form the bed. There is a bar, with an extrusion/cap running at the front corner of the cushion that has worn a hole through. I am currently working with the dealer seeing what can be done about this as the sofa/sleeper has been slept on twice and the unit has seen less than 2 weeks of use in the past year with just the wife and myself.
I agree that it would be great to keep this thread going to help each other out as I do not see any of these units around.

That fuse for the front slides has gone on my 2015 262RGX a couple of times. I have replaced it with an AT&T Oc

That fuse has blown on my 2015 262RGX a couple of times. I have replaced the fuse with an automatically reseting ATO circuit breaker of the same(30) amperage. Roof developed a leak are the cap but was easily resealed but need to keep an eye on the condition of the dicor

Sorry about the wandering fingers. Don't see many of these units or read about them on the forum, so I agree, let's keep this thread alive

262 RGX thoughts

wally007 - Tell me more about the fuse blowing... Where is it and how you fixed it up with the auto rest breaker. Sounds like a great idea!

Hi Craig theses fuses are in the remote control board behind the front storage compartment on the right hand side of the trailer as you face forward. I had 2 of mine blow and it would not work on either the remote or the manual switch but I could hear the relays working on the remote control board. If you remove the cover on the back of the right side storage you will see the board with the relay and fuses. tou can check for blown fuses with a test light. Because I had the 1 fuse blow 2x I replaced it with a circut breaker, The breaker has legs the same as a fuse but the body of the breaker is a metal case housing automatically resetting contacts. You should be able to pick up theses breakers at an auto parts store. I have a few different amperages I carry with me. I don't to take screwed in panels off on a regular basis so if any of these fuses give me regular grief I will replace them with a breaker. Things like the landing leg breaker are my fault for trying to overextend the leg but until I become a better judge of the end of travel these devices will save me some work. If i have told you a bunch of stuff you already know, sorry
Wally

wally007 - Appreciate the info. If I run into any of these issues, now I'll know what I'm going after!
