28RKBS Weights
Could someone tell me what dry hitch, GVWR and unloaded Vehicle weight would be for this 5er. I'm getting different numbers everywhere I look. The 5er we loked at said unloaded 9219lbs but when I pull from the net or look at the brouchere it's different. Help!! We waited to long for our on order Rockwood so we are dealing on a 2011 wildcat 28RKSB

The only numbers I have would be from the brochure spec page.

I have the same setup as Bill. It pulls great, I think you'll be pleased with it.

The truck pulls great no complaints yet. You will love the power. As soon as the stock shocks wear out I will be replacing them with better quaility. I just don't think that the stock shocks are worth too much when it comes to towing..

Just a question about weight Bill. I think I'm a bit heavy on the truck. What I got was
Steering 4541lbs
Drivers 4828lbs
Trailer axles 8290lbs.
The GCWR is fine at 17659lbs and it pulls great but the truck GVWR is 9200lbs. This was with full diesel wife, myself 3/4 water m/t black and grey. You about the same??? The reason I ask is I would like to put an extra fuel tank on but that will put me way over. Or am I confused?

If you've met (or exceeded) your GVWR already, you may have to forget about adding the extra fuel tank, bummer.

Yep, you have the same problem as my 2500HD Duramax. Maxed out truck long before max tow rating. Your numbers show overloaded by 350 pounds already. Diesel is about 7.15 pounds per gallon so a 20 gallon pony tank would add another 150 pounds or so not counting the tank.

She might re-think that after your first breakdown in the middle of no where. My wife was totally on board with replacing all my truck and camper tires last year after a very unexpected blow out on the beltway around Washington DC just before rush hour.
Not that I would wish that on anyone!

Just my opinion, but I wouldn't worry at being a few hundred lbs. over GVWR on a 2500HD Duramax. I know many people will agree and disagree with that statement for a number of reasons.

True, I wouldn't loose too much sleep at this point, but I would not intentionally add to the overage by adding an auxillary fuel tank

I'm not to concerned. If I run the water tanks mt I'm actually under. I know that airbags don't change your GVWR but they should take any stress off the frame? The main concern was running into the province of BC up here as they have really tighten up on the overweight's.

I guess I was wrong about chances slim to none Herk. Note the pic. A new 3500HD in the driveway now. 11,500 GVW fits the bill.
