2nd Leak in my WildCat

Last year we purchased a new 312bhx. First camping trip out we had a heavy rain and found a leak at the power cord where it wasn't cauked.

Was told that the water didn't do any damage... this is yet to be determined.

Yesterday we pulled the camper out to get ready for the season only to find a lot of water damage down one side of our camper. Kitchen table is wet, mold under the cusions, carpet wet.. haven't gotten to the total extent of the damages yet.

Already called the dealer and requested a store manager visit the camper at my home to see for himself.

Now with two major water leaks within one year of owning the camper I'm not sure I want to own this particular one.

Will see what the dealer will do but its really not their fault...

Sounds like Forrest River needs to help out with this situation.... we have a weekend trip planned and not sure i want to put the kids in a camper with mold....

any suggestions?

I would not want to camp in a trailer which has mold. I hope it gets fixed properly, it will be quite something depending on the damage Good luck with the repairs !

Please get your local Wildcat dealer involved ASAP so they can assist. Rod Batts in Wildcat's service department is the correct contact for an issue like this, but involving your dealer from the start is always the best practice!

thanks for the contact info.

have sent request to the representatives from forrest river.

have also contacted the dealer and they say they will fix it but I have to bring it to them at my cost and time.

The bigger issue is that we can't get a replacement camper or even a loaner while ours is getting repaired. Depending on how long it takes we have to start canceling our pre-planed and pre-paid camping trips.

overall we are extremly unhappy with the situation.... they offered some free passes to go camping but it really doesn't do me any good when I don't have a camper.

Will keep the thread updated on the status of the situationl

update

it only took 3 weeks but i finally got a call from Forrest River. Also found out that Rodd Batts is no longer with Forrest River. Anyways, all my parts were ordered and shipped to the dealer so i had to make a trip to the dealer to verify the parts actually arrived..... No i just have to fight with the dealer to get my camper completed so i can have it back.

Thanks to Wildcat Chris for prodding people to get in touch with me.

Will post a follow-up on the results of the repairs...

New Issue

had to be very assertive with the dealer to get my repairs completed for our first outing. Manager promised that he would get me an extended warranty from the manufacturer because of the issues..

Shortly into the outing we found a "soft" spot in the floor the size of a paper plate right where you place your foot to open the fridge...

We were told that a floor repair would have to be done at the manufacturer and that we could schedule it to start at the end of the camping season.

so now i have a decision to make:

send it in now and have no camper for most of the season or use a camper that has a potential mold issue until the end of the season.

Dealer is suppose to have a representative from forrest river contact me but i have heard this before...

Wildcat Chris.... HELP! Get me in touch with someone that can actually help me with this issue!
