327CK Kingpin Height from ground

Hi Everyone, we have just ordered a Wildcat 327CK 5th wheel, our first one and need to know the height of the kingpin from the ground when level so I can set up my B&W hitch before picking up. Also it look like it would be nice to know how far the cab should the trailer be? I am running a Ford F-150 with a 8" box. Thanks Chris & Wendy

Found one on a lot and it's 48" from ground. With that I can now calculate my hitch placement. Thanks for looking,Chris

That is a pretty big fifth wheel for an F150.

My 2009 F-150 has HD tow (11,300lbs) and HD payload (2850lbs) so I feel it should pull it. I also am not pulling across country either. Parked in Woodland PA 80% of the time with a couple of small trips under 400 miles round trip. If I were a big time traveler I would have gone to a F-250/350. Chris

Is your B&W hitch height adjustable? Also is you pinbox adjustable? If either one is adjustable or both adjustable you can set the hitch and pin box to the correct height when you pick up the 5th wheel. Keep in mind you should keep about 6 inch clearance between the bottom of the camper and the top of the pickup bed. This will give you some room for uneven campground roads and curbs. Yes you will run over curbs from time to time.
Hitch distance with a 8 foot box from the cab is not a big problem you will have plenty of room but most with a 8 foot bed will be 52-54 inches from the back of the cab to the center of the kingpin. This Will vary with hitch install procedure and mounting system.

Thanks, yes the B&W has adjustable height and some forward/backward. I figured that the 327CK leveled at the dealer's lot was 48" so I have set my hitch plate at that height. With that said, my bed is 54" from the ground to the top of rail so I guess the rest of the adjustments are made on the king pin box. I will have the dealer's shop people take a good look before I run down the road. Chris
