Question A/C filter... Where is it

2015 Wildcat 282RKX with dual a/c's. where is the filter for the a/c? No one here at the Ashtabula Covered Bridge Festival knows where it would be.

Any help would be appreciated...

Remove the A/C grill cover - the removeable filter element is just above the grill cover.

We don't have any AC grill covers in the interior either in the living area or the bedroom. Just AC vents and return air vent covers. No filters in the AC return air vent covers.

I was speaking from how our 2012 Silverback interior A/C filters were installed. Appartently yours are different.

Nothing if your manual?

The return air on my Crusader has the inside the grill. Got to remove it to see them. They are a foam-looked like the foam used on window A/C units-with cardboard edging. If you have a return air grill without them then maybe they left them out.

They are inside the "return" as you are describing it. Pull off that panel (inside the Wildcat) and you will find a thin sheet of foam rubber. this is the dust filter, simply wash it out with water (use soap and rinse) and reinstall. It's that simple!

Or like this?

These have a foam like filter behind them or should otherwise they were never installed. The second one is like mine on my wildcat.

and all 4 of mine have really thin foam dust filters... much thinner than my old trailer with a unit such as in your picture 2.

That was my first thought when I first them - just waiting for someone else to say it.

Our Crusader is the same ....it is fully ducted - no noisy panel hanging out of the ceiling - super quiet and supposedly 75% more efficient

It is called Quiet Cool or something like that - used in motorhomes mostly and now in some fifth wheels

Found it on Dometic web site..

Dometic introduces the QuietZone™ Ducted Air System featuring its High Performance air conditioner (HP), the industry’s only RV air conditioning system that utilizes a 15,000 BTU high-performance air compressor

When I bought my 2015 Wildcat, I asked the salesman "Where are the A/C units? Why can't I see the intake grates?" He pointed out these non-RV-looking return grates. Two months later I had the presence of mind to wonder "do these A/C units have filters?" The answer: sort of.

Yep, that's what they look like. I took one down reached my hand into the duct and I came up empty. I will put my cell phone in the duct and take a picture maybe the filter is far up or was never installed.

I have the same rig as you I believe. I have not checked mine yet but, I will have to use a step ladder to get to them they are in the high part of the ceiling.

I thought this was different. I just picked up our new Cardinal and on the PDI the tech told me that it designed without any filter at all. That just does not sound right. I will call FR when we get back from our 2 week check out run. It is one of the low profile quiet units.
