A good slide out report.

After reading this winter all the side out problems, I've decided it time for a good report. We got to our camp yesterday PM. First thing I had to do was run the slide out. I had to hook up the battery. Positive first. Then the negative. got a spark from that one. No surprise there, I have parasites just like everyone else. I didn't think anything about it. Went inside and hit the switch for out. Click and out she went. Then it dawned on me. It went out on battery alone. On a battery that has been sitting in the battery box for 8 months with no charger on it. This will be it's 3 year of life. I don't know what slide system I have. It's a 2002 Wildcat 5er. Hydraulics and cable system. 16 years old and works like a charm. Everything in the trailer works just fine. Now to figure where that damn little chipmunk is hiding. No damage. He didn't get into any cabinets or drawers but I can find evidence of his being here. the cat knows he's been here too.
