Adding slide toppers

Just searching for any info on DIY slide toppers. I have the toppers but am looking for anyone that knows a good location to screw on the awning rail. The trailer is a2017 Wildcat Maxx tt. I don't know if any location would work as far as backing for the screws. Any help? Thanks. Brett

I installed a topper on the slide for a "16"Vengeance 29V. Placed the enclosed rail up next to the top rail for maximum slope on the topper. We used the 1" RV putty tape under the rail and screwed away using the enclosed screws. Found something to hold on to with every screw. The Vengeance is a tin and frame construction. The topper was a Solara purchased online from CW.

Good Luck

Thanks Frank. That's kinda what I was thinking but wanted to hear it from someone else. I couldn't get the photo turned over but got the idea.

I'm not sure if this is upside right or not but I wanted to give it try in rotating it. LOL - the tree looked right no matter how it was tilted in the picture. I think I finally found "up" so I went with it being in this direction.

Disclaimer - I don't have any slides nor slide toppers plus it's almost midnight here.

Thanks for the turn over. The RV is parked next to the house so this is the best shot I could get.
