Cool - that fits our needs much better. Thanks for the confirmation.

Another question (or two)..

We're seeing '13 models advertised with a flip-up counter extension in the kitchen. Is that still available for '14?

And can we order the rig without exterior graphics?

We eliminated the flip-up countertop extension on all Wildcat models after making Corian® solid surface countertops standard across the line since the flush-mount sink covers allow for more space in the kitchen!

As for the graphics, we're required to install the Wildcat brand names on the unit. A custom-ordered retail unit can be built without the rest of the graphics if necessary.

Nice. We're hoping to do something besides swoops.

Thanks for the quick answers!

Wildcat Chris,
Would you please address the crack issue in the rear of the 2013 327CK. The factory knows about this with the aluminum stud issues. The cracks radiate from the rear corners of the rear slideouts. A friend just purchased 1 in May and they will have theirs transported back to Indiana for repairs.

Further, I bought the 2013 312BHX-OK. Can I expect this to crack as well, or is it limited to the 327CK?

We just purchased a Wildcat 312BHX yesterday
8-6-13, and I have read several times on this forum that Forest River offers a second year full warranty for around $150. I brought this up to the finance guy and he said they did but kept changing the subject and trying to push his over priced 4yr warranty. Is there any truth to FR's second year warranty? Where can I get info on it? and is it too late since I did my paperwork yesterday? Hope you can help me out.

Thanks Ryan

Hi Ryan...welcome! Glad you're here. Forest River does indeed offer the second year warranty. I have one. The paperwork is included with the packet that came with your trailer. If it isn't there, I would ask the dealer where it is. He is just trying to steer you into a warranty that he gets a commission on.

I also have a question about my gray takes on a 2014 312BHX w/ outside kitchen. From what I see, we have 3 gray tanks. What are the capacities of those tanks, and what drains where?

I have the 2013 312BHX with the O.K.. There are 3 handles, 1 for each tank as you specified. The TOTAL capacity is 150 gallons for the gray water tanks. 2 of the handles are in the same compartment as the black water drain and water hookup. The 3rd drain handle for the outside kitchen is on the opposite side of the camper in front of the rear stabilizer legs motor. Just look underneath and in front of the motor and you will see the handle.

Yes I know where all of the dump valves are, but my question was about the capacity of those tanks knowing I had 150 total capacity. I was told from David at the factory that each tank is 50 gal. I wish they would put this kind of info on the unit somewhere instead of just the total.

To the best of my knowledge, all Wildcat units that were affected by the awning recall have been addressed.

I do not know of any "aluminum stud issues" on any Wildcat units. I do know there were a small number (5 that I know of) of 327CK units that showed surface cracks in the fiberglass on the corner of the main slide room. I have been told this damage is not structural, but cosmetic, and has been addressed with different backer in the corner area of that specific wall.

I do not know of any 312BHX units that had this issue. But if a problem does arise or you have a specific question, please do not hesitate to contact me via private message with your full contact information, VIN#, and Wildcat dealer's name...

Please check in your owner's packet for Forest River's 2nd year limited-warranty extension. It costs $150. You need to file it within the first 30 days of ownership.

I apologize for my lack of follow up here recently. I know my inbox was jammed up over the last couple of weeks. My father, a long-time RV industry veteran and my personal hero, passed away recently. I've been doing catch up in all areas of my professional life.

I'm very proud of his accomplishments and I know most of you here have either seen his work or possibly even own some of it currently. Here's the news story from RV Business: Barth Known as ‘Pioneer’ in RV Graphic Design | RV Business

Thank you for your patience while I catch up!

Sorry for your loss Chris, I read his story. He seemed like a great man who left his footprint in the RV industry.

On another note I received a call from Wade with the Wildcat warranty dept. on the western side of the states where mine was built. Very nice guy. Not sure if you were the one that pointed him in my direction, if so thanks I made a new connection for my warranty work.

Obviously, the best resource is your local Wildcat dealer -- and we're very proud of the dealers we have on the ground today. But if you're stuck, please let me know your questions. If I can assist, I'll do my best to get you an answer in a timely manner or direct you towards someone who can. Wildcat's got some great people in production, service, and parts that I can count on to help me help you.

Hope we can keep this both friendly and productive!
Having just acquired an '03 Wildcat 31' TT (our 5th RV and only 2nd Trailer) At my sweeties' request, I'm adding some hanging items. I'm not sure what is the best way to secure coat hangers and key rings without piercing the wall with a 1 or 1 1/4 inch screw?

Also, any good maintenance / care specialists in the Houston, TX area?

Thanks for your availability and willingness to serve.
