Question about the landing gear on my 2013 Wildcat 327CK. Last week while lifting the 5er off my truck, the landing gear stopped working. After investigation, found that the 30 AMP fusible link blew, but not before frying the switch. Luckily it didn't fry the motor. It seams that 30 AMPs is a little much! Suggestions?

I think that it went the other way.
Water in the switch fried the switch and then blew the fuse.

Sorry - no water in the switch. Completely Dry. And it worked fine putting the trailer on the truck.

Plus - if you say the 30 Amp fuse is what should be there - then fine. Maybe a warranty issue.

I guess it just broke then. Happens.

If it was high amperage, the fuse should have let go before the switch took damage. The other way round seems more likely.

The 30 amp single use fuses can blow on the older campers when the gear is full up (or down), the operator continues to hold the switch in, and the motor stalls. This can be fixed by a technical bulletin. (attached)

Note the warning about "over retraction" in the manual.

Thanks for the information! The whole situation seemed odd that the switch and the fuse blew at or about the same time. Would have thought that the fuse would blow first saving the switch and the motor. Started to get irritated when I read "over reaction" then read "retraction". BTW the gear was only 50% up.

As I stated, as long as you and the paperwork says its OK, then we are OK.

Never heard of one blowing while in transit. Full up was when mine was blowing till I got the button release timing right. I replaced my 30 amp fuse with an auto resetting one and never had an issue again.

The Party Couch Dinette/Sleeper Sofa (available in all bunk house models in place of hide-a-bed and dinette, MADE IN U.S.A.!) is a factory installed option. However, it's feasible that it could be installed in a unit later. Please call your Wildcat dealer to inquire further and/or call Wildcat's parts department directly for pricing and availability: 574-206-7615

Although we've changed to a hardwood cherry surround now, we may have a limited supply left of the faux "rock" fireplace surround through our parts department. If this is something you're looking for, please discuss this with your local Wildcat dealer or let me know if you need more information on ordering it via Wildcat's parts department.

2011 Brookstone 37

My Tech is having problems with the wiring going to the control remote brain to the front jacks to jack motor. The brain was fried so we got a new one from Lippert. Lippert doesn't have any wiring diagram. Forest River doesn't have wiring diagram, Coachman Doesn't have wiring diagram DAH how do they make these?
I need to know where the wires go from switch (orange wire, red wire, black wire, white wire) Motor is reversable I know black and white.
Can anyone help or have a number I can call. My tech and I have all the places above with no luck.
If someone can look in there 5r and tell me what wires are connected it would help.
We think what fried the brain was the lift motor

2004 27rl tire size

I keep my 27rl in storage about 150 miles from my home. I know its time to purchase new tires for my camper. Can you tell me what the tire size I need?

reservoir level?

Chis,
I just purchased a Wild Cat 30rlbs 5th wheel.
Could you tell me what level the hydraulic fluid should be maintained at in the slide out reservoir ...and is it 'any' ATF fluid ?
Thank you
Dennis

'onetexasoldman'... thanks for your reply.

I do not see any "fill line" , however, about 1/3 up from bottom there is a bold black line between some wording, but nothing pertaining to 'full' or 'fill to' .
The reservoir is about 1/2 full now.
I think I will top it off with ATF to about 1 to 1 1/2 inches below the top "With the Slides In".
Certainly do not want it gushing out the breather cap when the rams return all that oil back to the reservoir....now would I ?

I couldn't believe how much oil leaves when all 4 slides go out
