I saw the GVWR of 13500, but didn't see an actual pin weight. Where would I find that?

Look at the yellow stickers

We purchased our 2013 302RL Wildcat several months ago. It has three yellow stickers on it, entry door, storage door and outside drivers side front wall by the landing gear. They all say 9073 lbs.

All WC are weighed before they leave the factory as they are ordered and built. We had the following options: Touring package, kitchen table and chairs and full windows, Corian counter top, and wired for 50 amps.

We knew the options would add weight. My TV has a 12,500 lb max towing weight. I estimate we add 1000 lbs of stuff when we travel, so when I went to Pilot station scales, the WC weight was approximately 10,000 lbs. I wanted a Fifth wheel that was 80% of the max tow weight. That's what I got and I could not be more satisfied and happy.

What's your actual pin weight on your 302RL? My concern is my 2007 Dodge diesel might not have enough payload capacity and I'm having a hard time trying to get an accurate answer. The dealer is saying no problem, but not sure how else to get an answer other than asking folks here.

My TV & 302RL Weights

Here is my scale reported weights with my spec max weights,
Front Axle: 3800, max is 4200
Rear Axle: 5060, max is 6084
Trailer axles: 8120
Total: 16980, max is 18500

I'll let Herk figure out the pin weight. I would estimate around 2000 or about 20% of a 10000 total trailer.

Hope this helps.

Since you did not get a weight of your truck without the camper that same day, your actual pin weight is unknown.

Truck WITH pin is 16980 minus 8120 = 8860 pounds

A safe range for pin load is 15-25% of camper actual weight (not axles alone - but the whole thing).

So to get 8120 on the wheels at your minimum safe pin weight of 15% your camper would weight 9,5552 pounds and your your pin would be 1433 pounds.

To get 8120 on the wheels at your maximum safe pin weight of 25% your camper would weight 10,826 pounds and your your pin would be 2706 pounds.

To get 8120 on the wheels at your "optimum" safe pin weight of 20% your camper would weight 10,150 pounds and your your pin would be 2030 pounds.

Weight your truck just like it was when you got the connected numbers to see how your camper is loaded.

supposed to be. batteries and propane are done by the dealer.

the yellow sticker should be the most reliable source for actual weight, short of taking to the scales.
older RVs, like my '07 Roo, had the factory weight sticker inside, on a larger white sticker.

The dealer agreed to weigh the 2007 LSBS. We drove the truck on to the scale and the weight was 6780 without the trailer. We then drove to the same position on the scale with the trailer and the weight was 8340. Does this mean the pin weight was 1560? We then pulled all the way on to the scale with the trailer and total weight was 16,660. Does this mean the trailer weight is 9880?
Thanks

I own a 2004 Wildcat and I have an outside round floodlight on the side of my camper opposite of the entry door. Where is the on/off switch for this? I have the same light on the entry side of the camper and it is controlled by a switch by the door. I just can't figure out how to turn on the light on the opposite side.

The light may be burned out, that could be why you can't find the switch. The switch for mine is next to the commode room door.

John

BTW...Welcome to the group. Glad you're here!

One switch should turn on both lights! Sounds like you may have to replace the bulb...

yes, if you go to Wildcat's website, you choose between two regions, Wildcat(east of Rockies) and Wildcat Northwest(west of Rockies).

Wildcat Northwest is in Oregon. but they offer less floorplans.

This is correct. See the map below and follow the link to see the offerings out of each production facility...

Whats up with Wildcat replacement parts. Campkins ordered an entry door and decals for my 2011 Sterling 32RL 5 weeks ago and they are still not shipped as of today. FR is saying the door is shipping this coming Thursday and the decals are shipping coming Monday.

Sometimes, especially on items not in daily use (like your Sterling door and graphics), our parts and service department has to wait on our suppliers (with their own lead times) before being able to ship out parts. Our "just in time" inventory policies, which cut overhead costs allowing for a more affordable RV, mean that we don't keep stock on all items when not on the schedule. Since Sterlings aren't currently built every week, I'm not surprised parts weren't immediately available. Please let me know if there's further delays -- send me a private message with your VIN and contact info to discuss more!

Is surround sound standard in a 2011 31TS? I have been able to find the subwoofer, but I am unable to find the center speaker or wiring for one.
