2013 Wildcat Maxx 313RE weight limits

Just recently purchased a 2013 Wildcat Maxx 313RE and was wondering what the maximum front lower storage shelf can hold without reinforcement? For example putting my Honda EU3000 there for storage since the fifth wheel did not come with a built in generator. Also, can a rear receiver be placed on this unit as well to hold the generator or 175lbs?

Hi , hope you enjoy yours as much as we have,we have traveled over 5,000 miles since buying our with very few problems. Our 2012 Wild Cat come with a 2" receiver but I was told that was discontinued on the 2013 so may want to check with a Forest River rep to see if that would effect warranty. I would not trust the plastic up front ,we have been on some very rough Interstates.I have a Honda 2000 that I just sit in back of truck and take out and chain it to back bumper. One thing you may want to check is the drawers in your wardrobe ,on our first trip the drawer bounced open and when wife's moved bed room side out it caught on drawer so dealer had to change out wardrobe and facing on slide. Happy Travels

Just a note of Appreciation to wildcat Chris and our salesperson Josh Rupp from All Seasons Rv in Michigan. Josh wanted us to be COMPLETELY satisfied with some of the questions we had. So he put us in direct contact with Chris. After two phone discussions with him, I realized he's the same Wildcat Chris from this forum, and was shocked at just how willing, and knowledgable he was about our unit.
As first time 5ers, first time wildcat'ers, this goes a LONG way in keeping us in Forrest River products.
In no better words can I say "THANKS".

If you look at ilc1.com they offer prefab receivers but don't state the weight class for the "boat" receiver. Will try and call them tomorrow for more info.

Wildcat Chris I have a question for you. I have a 2013 312BHX with the outside kitchen. My question is in the back bunk room against the back wall of the trailer is a closet and a enclosed area with a ladder attached to it for the bunk beds. What is in that closed area? I would like to take the front off and make shelves in there but I am not sure if it contains anything that will not allow me to do that.

Thanks Ronnie

rcarr3, we had shelves put in between the rungs of the ladder. When we got our 312BHX we also asked our dealer and they looked and it was empty so they put the shelves in for us. I posted pictures of some of our modifications on my profile in albums.

The factory installed 2" receiver hitch had 300 lbs. tongue / 3000 lbs. towing capacity. This feature is no longer available.

I sure hope none of the people on here have as much trouble as I have had with my wildcat sterling, it has been a lemon from day one and its going to look like a lemon with all the decals I'm going to put on camper. I have called Rod Batts many times and hear nothing from him, this makes the fifth time back to the dealer and one time stayed for over two months. I guess after a while you are nothing but a whinner but someone has to get a LEMON once in a while but the lemon I got is going to look like a big lemon

Sorry to hear Spock123, what type of issues have you experienced, and what should we look out for?

I'm sorry to hear you're unhappy with your Sterling Edition. Please send me a private message with your contact information so I can be sure that someone on our team helps you. I know we've spoken before and I know Rod has worked with you before, so it's not entirely fair to disparage Wildcat in the forum this way -- please make sure to send me all the details and I'll try to help you find resolution!

I have called Rod Batts and left more than one msg with him and no call back, I saw Jim Gordon at the Raleigh NC rv show and was told to leave my name and number and he would make sure Rod gave me a call back, never got no call. My number is 910-284-7141 tell Rod to give me a call. I am going to Tom Johnson camping in Marion,NC tomorrow, I am going to look at trading the camper, DW has had enough, she doesn't even want to go camping now, seems like we spend a lot of time at Tom Johnson. I ordered dual payne windows and one came in messed up well FR sent a window and Tom put it in and guess what it was not dual payne but Tom still put the window in, that window took 12 months to get. I may not be able to work out a trade with Tom as I have no plans to give camper away, if not I plan to give FR Wildcat all the free advertisement I can on my trip to Yellowstone this summer. My slide on the dinette slide is still not level, it feels like you are sitting on a hill, I have called Rod about that and still no answer. I think its to tight on the couch side because it is leaving marks on the carpet, but hey the warrenty is off. That camper should have never been shipped out, but hey its my camper

Wildcat Chris. I was thinking about trading my tt in for a 5er. May I ask about getting some info for a CAT for my RAM 1500 HEMI 5.7 4x4 crew cab 6.5 bed TLC air springs. I looked on line and I think the 24ft will work. I would like to see specs on the 26 ft.
Thanks Chris
Four your time

While we have had a lot of problems with the Wildcat Sterling 32RL we really liked the floor plan, we looked at a Cedar Creek 30RL on Friday, we decided to keep the 32RL, it was what we both liked and we did not want to go into more debt. DW had to be at church today at 2pm, I left the camper hooked up last night with the front jacks down to make camper more stable, well the Level-up would not work this morning, tech said it was loose wire, left at 8:30am, I am a slow poke, I like to drive 60n not today, 70 to 77,but had DW back at 1pm and I am getting a new camper. We will get the CC, just to many little problems, nothing really serious, DW was just tired and didn't like to camp as much. I would have went back with another Wildcat but DW said no, my 3500 pulls camper so good. The Wildcat that I had, did have some great options, bedroom fireplace was so nice and so was the garden windows, nothing out there quite like the 32RL,3D tv was something to show off. CC is a Forest River product but I had a Sierra TT and the camper was great, DW is still a little mad at me over that but a fifth wheel is so much easier to drive, and easy to get in tight spaces. I talked to Rod Batts on Friday and he told me not to worry about the warrenty as Wildcat would fix everything, just can't understand about the truck blowing fuses, it like the Catsense, the short seems to have a mind of its own. If you every need to buy a camper Tom Johnson is the best place to buy from, there are really nice people to deal with and a great campground.

leaking slide

Chris,
I purchased a '12 344QB last August. I have found a leak that is causing permanent damage in the living room slide. Am I still under warranty and do I have any options for using a non-Wildcat repair facility that is less than 50 miles away? The closest dealer is almost 300 miles away.
Thanks,
Fred

dude that sucks I hope my 344QB does not do that, I had the dealer replace the vinyl in the kitchen last week, took care of a bunch of other stuff and when we were geting ready to leave the dealership yesterday I noticed a bubble in the side, had them take pictures so when I am out of warranty it will be taken care of
