Not at all. It slides in ok but getting it out is a nightmare. I end up rocking it back and forth and the last time it jammed and had to be hammered out!

PLEASE NOTE: If you own a Wildcat MAXX product or a Wildcat purchased from a dealer in this part of the USA:

I can point you in the correct direction for help, but it's not built at my plant.

Wildcat Steve is the correct factory contact for Wildcats in this part of the world.

Yes, there's many similarities and shared traits, but they're independently built and designed (as all separate Forest River brands are -- it's what makes our company strong vs. our competition). If you have an issue with your Wildcat Maxx, please know that I'll do my best to help, but I need to pass on the info to another team for direct involvement.

Wildcat Steve seems to be kind of bashful. He's only made 7 posts on here. You are almost at 600!

I live in Pflugerville Texas next to Austin and bought a Wildcat 282RKX in Louisiana. My question is warranty. how do I find out if the dealer sent in the warranty info to Forset River and how do I proceed with warranty work in Austin??

Thanks

I would like to know why they don't put a AM / FM antenna on the roof of the wildcat trailer's. The radio does not pickup stations very good and when you turn on the lights on in the living room it gets worse do to the Led lights mess with it. It would be nice to have the antenna installed on the roof by the factory.

Me too. I dont have one on my 2013 wildcat 282RKX, the lights inside mess with the radio. spoke to FR Rep. he said its inside the wall. Not a good place , should be on the roof. Bad call on there part, sounds like a short cut.
You a retired FF? Im a retired LEO from Austin.

I saw the antenna in the wall does not go very far in. Would like to put a antenna on the roof but I do not want to drill any holes. I have a 2013 344 QB. I am a volunteer be doing it for over 20 years I up fit and take care of Federal LE vehicles.

Not sure either why they did that. Cost saving maybe? Spent 31 years at APD. time to relax. Austin is to crazy stupid now.

When we where looking at trailers I noticed sum had outside antennas and some did not as in different brands. The wildcats at the dealer I was at did not when I listened to the radio the radio seemed to pick up but once I got it home it lacks getting stations. I picked it up in PA live in MD so I don't know many radio stations up there. Would like to install one on the outside.

I have a 2013 312bhx and my am/fm antenna is on the roof. I will say though, that turning my lights on messes with my tv signal, despite the booster being on! Heck, even the 12v bathroom fan weakens the signal!

Ditto on everything you just said. The lights especially mess with the tv in the ok.

Different GVWR. Why?

I've been looking at the Wildcat 327 and 333 as potential upgrades. Love the floorplan and options available. One concern is the GVWR is only about 1500# over the dry wt. by the time you add the battery, fill propane tanks, add some options and our stuff for a 3 month winter trip to Az I would think we would be pushing the GVWR. On the other hand the Silverback 33RL has similar dry WT but GVWR is 14000# vs 12000# for the Wildcat.
Why the big difference? What is it in the construction that allow 2000# more carrying capacity. To me this becomes a serious limitation in the Wildcat line for longer term travels.

I'll be reviewing these newly posted specs with engineering in the AM! It seems to me that there may be a typo...! Sorry for any confusion!

Hey Chris, any chance you would consider posting photos of the concept fifth wheel Wildcat produced? I'm talking about the Wildcat Snow Leopard that was displayed for dealers at the open house. I'd love to see the inside with the features that were put into it. Just asking.

Obviously, the best resource is your local Wildcat dealer -- and we're very proud of the dealers we have on the ground today. But if you're stuck, please let me know your questions. If I can assist, I'll do my best to get you an answer in a timely manner or direct you towards someone who can. Wildcat's got some great people in production, service, and parts that I can count on to help me help you.

Hope we can keep this both friendly and productive!
Thanks Chris, I am looking for replacement graphic stickers for my 2004 forest river wildcat. Do you know who might be able to reproduce or have these in stock? If so please contact me by PM, Thanks, Jessie Hillis
