We have started production! Units are beginning to land on the ground at dealers across the US and Canada now!
There will be photos of the 295RSX on the Forest River web site soon -- I'll post back when they are up!

MOr/ryde pin box model number
Chris, we have about 6 weeks before delivery of our Wildcat 282 RKX and need to know about the pin box assembly.
We have a Pullrite Superglide #4100 and need a capture plate to attach to the underside of the pin box to be able to use the the Pullrite auto slider. Can you tell me what model Mor/ryde pin box we will have on our 282RKX so we can order the capture plate.
Thanks,

Your dealer should be able to tell you what pin box they are installing as soon as they get a VIN number from FR. They had mine in time for me to order the correct capture plate from RV Warehouse and get it delivered before the camper arrived at the dealership.
You should not buy the universal capture plate, because if you get the pin box number you may find that there is a correct one (that is easy to remove) for the box they install.

Double Towing with Ultra Light 8244ws
Searching double towing has not turned up an answer for this question. Our state allows double tow up to 65' and our past usage indicates that a small 5th wheel is best suited for us such as the 8244ws. Adding a hitch that would support a pin weight of 300-500 would be what we desire. Is that frame on the 8244ws stout enough for such a receiver? If not which 5ver in the Forest River lineup under 28 ft does have a strong enough frame. Is the frame tubular or I beam? What is the thickness of the metal in the frame?
Also on another forum it was stated that the bonded floor on the 8244s is topped with a thin plywood, such as luan (1/8) inch. An individual who has one said that where the laundry chute it measures as 3/4. The brochure shows the bonding and would seem that the outer layers are very thin.

MOR/ryde Part #SPB72-1621LD 12K Pin Box is what's installed on the 282RKX (and all other eXtraLite models).

Looks like they have a capture plate for your pinbox.

The new frames actually measure 10.75" vs. the 10" we used previously. The material thickness itself may be different due to the fact that it's not the same kind of steel (HSLA) and is made from sheet vs. cut tube.
Here's some more information about the NXG FRAME from BAL directly:
Quote:
The NXG Frame is a superior quality, highly engineered frame that provides customers with a strong, light weight, consistent foundation on which to build.
ELIMINATES:
• Frame failures due to sub-standard steel
• Construction issues caused by improperly placed components
• Uneven main rails - varying camber
• Corrosion caused by incomplete coverage due to painting of stacked frame assemblies
• Paint failures caused by inadequately washed components
KEY FEATURES:
• Constructed with HSLA - High Strength Low Alloy Prime Steel with specifically controlled properties.
• Designed to accommodate both fifth wheel and travel trailer configurations.
• CNC controlled rail fabrication allows placement of components precisely where the manufacturer wants them.
• Manual welding is minimized. Common components are robotically welded for consistent quality.
• All fastened components are joined with Huck® fasteners. Huck® fasteners provide consistent clamp load.
• CNC controlled camber.
• Automotive durability track tested!
MADE IN U.S.A. with SEVERAL U.S. PATENTS APPLIED FOR!
More information on Huck fasteners:
Huck | LockBolts, structural blind fasteners & Huck installation tooling
The Huck Fastening System – Key Benefits:
• Will not loosen even under extreme vibration
• Maintenance free joints – no need to torque or re-torque
• Lower lifetime total cost of joint - high shear and tensile strengths for increased fatigue life of the joint
• High speed, easy to install systems can reduce production time by 75%
• Improves health and safety - replace welded joints
• Tamperproof – once installed cannot be removed without specialist tooling

We're also using the BAL Accu-Slide system in many wardrobe slide and bed slide locations. Here's more info on that as well:

Hi Wildcat Chris,
I first would like to apologize if this is a repetitive question but I am having a difficult time finding an answer and I have discussed with the dealer but have not got a reassuring answer. I have a 2013 32RL and I did not have a sticker for the location to mount a TV in the bedroom. I am assuming that it is on the exterior wall above the bedroom fireplace but I am wondering if there is some dimensions for the location of the backer for the TV mount and how long the mounting screws can be. The last thing I want to do is either run too long of a screw and go thur the exterior wall or screw into something in the wall. I saw a post earlier in this thread but did not see a reply with the location. Thanks for any help you can provide. Also I appreciate your time on this forum and the other folks on here for their help as well.
Mike

Hi Chris-
Wondering if you could answer a few questions as it relates to the 337FB?
The 2013 floor plan indicates the front bunks are 74" long and the 2014 floor plan indicted they are 84" and there is a section of shelf that appears to be gone. Please confirm.
Also any changes from the 13 to the 14 model year worth talking about with this unit?

Mike, there is indeed backer in that exterior wall location. Usually, a sticker lets you know exactly where it is. Please send me a private message with your complete contact information, including VIN#, if you'd like more assistance from our service department!

The 2013 version of this unit was slightly revised in the front bedroom/bunk area eliminating a small "cubby" at one end of the bunk (next the bathroom wall). We felt the longer (84"), wider (34") bunks and more open room better suited the flexible nature of this bedroom / bunk room -- larger or taller sleepers can use this bunk since it's also capable of holding 300 lbs.
Otherwise, I can't think of any significant changes to the floor plan between late 2013 and early 2014 models (this floor plan was introduced in December of 2012 and functionally came to market in January 2013 and it already had the most up to date Wildcat changes at that time). Ask the Wildcat factory...
How big is the fresh water tank on the 295res? I read from the wildcat brochures that it is 50 gallons. But the local RV dealer says that is a miss print and that the real size is 60 gallons.
Thanks

Questions about 282RKX
Hi Chris,
I just got back from the MD RV Show, and had a good chat with one of the factory reps. I have a couple of questions I forgot to ask that I hope you can answer, and a couple more that I'm hoping you can confirm. Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.
Here are the questions: - Is the 2nd bedroom AC on this model ducted?
- If I order now, will the 282RKX have the new NXG Frame? The rep said that it should.
- Do the models coming from the factory have the TV on a swing/swivel arm? The one at the show didn't.
- Does the utility area have the water heater bypass/winterization valves in it? The one in the show didn't.
Thanks again!
Matt

Your RV dealer is including the fresh water in the water heater tank (10 gallons). The fresh water tank is 50 gallons.
