Having spent a day or two camping in the wind, not being able to latch these doors in the open position is going to become very inconvenient.

A suggested improvement would be to have a hold open latch for each of these doors similar to the one on the main entrance door.

We also noticed that the curb side pass through storage door hits the bottom of the awning arm when fully opened. If the wind were to catch this door and slam it against the awning arm the likely result is sprung door hinges or worse yet a puncture hole in the door.

Thanks!
Thank you for your comments. I will bring this up in my morning staff meeting tomorrow!

I recently bought a new 312 BHX and we were camping last weekend and one of my friends had a Tailgater Dish system. We hooked it in to the sat/cable in on the camper and tried to get it in the coach and it didn't work. Is there something I have to switch on the camper to hook up to sat/cable externally to get it in the coach?

In my wildcat you can only view the Satellite on the main TV and you have to go up in the cabinet in the kitchen and move the orange cable from cable to satellite. Some how the antenna booster messes up the signal.

Don't know why the factory did not put in 2 separate lines to the master, kitchen, and aft bunk room, from the outside. I would of paid the extra 25 dollars for this

Thanks Wildcat Chris

I want to thank Wildcat Chris and the Brian Knight at Wildcat. I had an issue and sent Chris a PM. He had Brian contact me the next day and after a visit to the dealership with some valuable information in hand all problems solved.

Thanks for the input, I will have to try the connections next time. I would agree though it would have been nice to have it on all of the tv's especially the outside kitchen and Master bedroom TV.

Every Wildcat today is built with independent cable and satellite connections (2 sat. jacks: 1 to main floor and 1 to master bedroom). Connections are made via the docking station.

Repair time frame

Hey Chris,
Just have a question for you. We took our Sterling fifth wheel in for repairs the end of January. It's now the middle of April and our fifth wheel is still I'm the shop. Is three months a little long to wait on repairs? Btw, we took it to a wildcat dealer.

I manage a dealership that deals with sales, parts and service not RV's or Autos, however unfortunately I would say anything over 1 month is pretty shabby service on your dealers behalf. I know situations arise but I would be interested to know if you dealer has followed up with you throughout this process of 3 months in the shop. I f they have followed up with you without you calling them then they at least care, if this is not the case then I would look for a new dealer.

We're camping this weekend in PA with a 3 mo old & DW is concerned about it dipping into the 30's at night. Is it safe to use one of these infrared space heaters to keep the chill off and to help save gas. We also have a small heater we used last yr, but the cord would get warm, so we were looking for other options. We've run out of gas 2x's when it was -30 out and want to avoid that with a baby.

In our 2013 Wildcat we have run a 1500w space heater to keep the temp up in the bedroom and use the electric fireplace for heat in the living area. We have had no issues with running in a 1500w heater, but if you attempt to plug in two different 1500w heaters you will trip the breaker.
Have a great weekend,

I would think so. We used a Space heater to keep the temps inside above freezing over the winter with no problems.

Only issue I can think of is you will probably not want any other device on this plug/circuit at the same time or you may trip a circuit breaker.

I just received my 2015 Wildcat 282RKX with the factory installed rearview camera. Try as I might, I can’t figure out how to turn the camera off.

I thought the camera would turn on with the running lights but it doesn’t. That should mean there is a switch somewhere that activates the camera but I can’t find it. The only way I can get the camera to turn off is to disconnect from shore power and use the battery disconnect switch. I find it impossible to think the camera was wired to remain on for weeks at a time in an RV park while on vacation.

Perhaps Chris or someone with a factory-installed camera can direct me to the camera’s on/off switch.

Thanks!

I checked out my connection and found that it was wired into the power lug on the 7 pin plug. If the truck was off or the pigtail was disconnected the power for the camera was off.
