I have an F250 short box and I highly recommend a slider. I have a manual one, but I have used it plenty getting into tight spots. Think of a slider as insurance...hope you never need to use it, but when you do, you will be glad you had one.

There really is no "best". Only what is best for you. I have a Curt 20K manual slider and have had no issues with it. I rarely use the slider, and I don't think I have ever "needed" it (yet), but I sure feel better having it. I know I come close just parking in my driveway. I call it "peace of mind". If you can afford it, get it.

Fellas, friend of mine picked me up a Reese 16K square tube slider that should do the trick just nicely. I'll never haul anything bigger than that in the foreseeable future, and the slide is there just in case. It has 5 deg of tilt side to side for those uneven campsites, and the price was right. Thanks again guys. Now watch me forget the slider and bust out the rear window of my "new to me" F250 first time out the driveway.

Cool Monte. If you got the wireless remote compressor, you will love it. Being able to adjust on the road, without all the tubes and wires coming in the cab is great. I put it all in myself, and it took a while to get it all right, but it's in and working, and I like it.

Good luck, and keep us posted!

monte, if you could look at your propane bottle straps and tell me if their is a pin that the short strap hooks into, when I took mine out in the fall I think I lost both for the bottles, I tried a nail in the multiple holes but to no avail I cant get them to snap over and secure the bottles. Picts would be great.. one (long) strap has a about 3 inch u channel that it is secured to but the other is just a hook
