Bunk Mattress Upgrade

Looking to upgrade the thin, bunk mattresses to something a little thicker, around 5" or so. Any thoughts on good sources, brands, etc.? Any input would be appreciated..

I'm hoping to buy a bunk-house model soon, and plan to put a piece of 4" memory foam under the thin mattresses. I'd just put it on top but it's a bit warm for me.

A custom mattress is usually the only way to go to get something the right size. Depending on the bunkhouse, you also have to watch thickness. Had I kept our 5er, I was buying at least 2 custom bunk mattresses this year, although the memory foam is not bad.

I purchased a 4" Queen memory foam from Amazon, then cut to fit. My boys think it makes a big difference.

Go to http://www.foambymail.com/ and buy 4" custom cut foam. I kept the original mattresses as mattress toppers of sorts. It was comfy for the kids and my in-laws alike. Not too expensive and their customer service was awesome.
