Camping trip pics... Big Horn Mtns

The family went camping this weekend in the Big Horn's. It rained for the better part of 2 days, but the Wildcat kept us cozy and dry. We had a blast. I was able to take pics of 6 of the 12 moose we saw. Here are some pics:

We haven't been there for far too long, it is awesome country.
I see you had a quad along, are there lots of trails to ride? Many restrictions on where you can go?
And may I ask what campground that is?
Thanks.

Bakken, there are trails galore to ride on and not many restrictions at all. We stayed at Owen Creek CG, but there are a ton of them up there. You can camp almost anywhere, as long as it is 1/2 mile away from the highway.

For sure. If you like riding quads, the Big Horns are the perfect place

I want to get back up there again sometime. I was raised around Hardin Mt. and we used to go up there a lot when I was a kid. In 1971 I worked a construction job over on Goose creek building a water reservoir for the town of Sheridan Mt.

I camped at Owen creek back in 1966 that's how old I am.

Hello Blackrock,

Nice to see someone who grew up around my area. Did you work on Little Goose Creek in Wyoming? I know of Little Goose Creek near Sheridan,WY that comes out of the Big Horns.

I bet Owen has changed a bit since you were last there, it has a paved turn off with a visitor map now!
