There are no ST tires, at least that I can find, that are made in the good ole USA. I just wanted non-chineese tires made in that infamous factory that makes rubber bombs! I knew exactly where MAXXIS tires are made and feel secure with their quality due to reviews and reputation.

Two of my China Bombs shredded within 5000 miles causing some undercarriage damage to my 5th wheel and the Company refused to even talk to me regarding the tires, or anything else, for that matter. Tires were properly inflated and not overloaded or over speed on the highways. Would post pics, but have not the foggiest idea how !!!!!

Two of my China Bombs completely shredded, both on the same day several hours apart. They had less than 5000 miles on them, proper inflation, not overweight and not over speed and on a good interstate. Warranty Company refused to return my calls after my initial complaint.

I would post Pics but have absolutely no idea how, The were Akuret, Range E, DOT Registered, ST 235/80R16 mfg 1312 and disintegrated Nov 2015 .

Three of the 4 Tow Max tires that came on my rig separated. None of that happened on the road. I found the first one on a pre-trip inspection. A year layer I replaced the other 3 for peace of mind. Two of the 3 had separation of the tread beginning. One of them probably would have let go pretty quickly. Yes, I bought Maxxis tires, and I do feel better about that choice. I've made several trips since then, probably 2k miles or do, and they are rock solid so far.

I have been reading posts about good/bad tire brands and decided to PM a member for a recommendation. I chose the member since his posts were spot on regarding a lot of subjects. Been reading posts for a year now and it is my call.

The purchase/brand is a gamble, and your choice is just that. I value my life and those I pass. China Bombs are a fact of life, nobody here can predict the end result in your circumstance. Keep reading the posts.

I will not post here the dollars or brand, I have spent on as it would not satisfy the opinions. My money, My choice. I spend my money to be safe and to keep you safe. I can look at DW and say I worked on it.

This has got to be the most ugly subject to have.

I will say the subject is very worthy.
