Discolored trim

We have an '04 Wildcat 26 FBS, which has a plastic or vinyl trim strip between the front cap and the main part of the body. The strip has turned yellow and brown from exposure to the desert elements in which we live. Is there some way to restore it to white, or can it be replaced? I've tried various cleaners, and nothing touches the discoloration. Any suggestions will be welcome!

I can't quite picture that strip.... is it soft and in a metal channel?

if you can remove the trim, use a 3-1 water-bleach solution in a 5 gallon bucket and soak for a couple of days. what doesn't come out can be scrubbed with a good vinyl brush

works good with the window trim as well

I have had a similar problem on the plastic trim around the windows on the doors, this is hard plastic. the cleaner that i use is called " EXITS " I use it full strength for this type of problems and I use a brush, It works pretty good. My RV dealer carries this product. The problem with white plastic trim is that it is not ultraviolet resistant, it well break down due to the sun and the elements, but yet black plastic is ultraviolet resistant. Example: wire or cable ties, white or clear ties should be used inside and black can be used inside or out side. If you buy a pack of black ties, it will say ultraviolet resistant for out door use.

They sell rolls of this vinyl cover so you can replace it when it goes bad. I'm assuming your talking about the cover that goes in the channel to cover the screws between the cap and body and along the roof line.
