Dish Tailgater Fuzzy weak signal

344 qb 2011

Alright I have searched and here is my dilemma. I have hooked up the tailgater straight to the receiver and them to the tv and everything is exceptional. When I hook up the cable through the outside port and then unhook the jumper and connect the receiver there, i can get a signal its week and has a harder time finding the satellites at first this way, but when it does find them I can get a pretty good picture on the main tv if I go through a hdmi cable, it is still just sd though. The reception on the the other two tvs is snowy. Is it splitter's? I found one behind the entertainment center or could it be the antenna amplifier, I have this "off" not on. I'm not sure what to try next, does anybody have this setup working?

Would bet it is a splitter in the line some where. Ours will not work at all using the outside cable connection point in the power bay. In ours, the cable goes from the power bay to the back of the antenna amp. I've seen a thread on how to bypass it so you might want to search the FR fourm. It looked simple to do, just haven't done it yet.

I've seen that around, I just wasn't sure if that was a solution to my problem. This forum is so helpful I thought I would ask. I might have to try it just to see. i will post my results when I get it done?
