Dump Valves Mislabeled

On the new 2008 Wildcats the dump valves are now in the enclosed underbelly and the handles are attached to the side of the frame for easy access. It's really a great change, however, I discovered that the labels for the Black tank valve and the Grey valve were reversed on my 2008 RKBS.
When I thought I was dumping the grey water first, I was actually dumping the Black water.

Darn good thing you didn't take the trailer home and dump the grey water on your lawn.

BTW - Most folks do dump the black water tank first. That way your sewer hose gets cleaned out when you dump the grey water.

What he said!
(you weren't attempting to dump the grey water on a lawn when you discovered the mix-up were you?)

Also, Welcome to the forums!

This mis-labeling is very common with the Keystone Outback trailers as well.

Sorry tor resurrect a 3 year old thread, but things don't change. Bought a new 2011 Wildcat 28RKSB last month and the Black Water and Grey Water labels are reversed. The wife & I love the 5er, just the little problems that need to be fixed when you buy a new trailer.

The labels on my '09 Rockwood 2106 (built in '08) were reversed as well.

dont even look at the labels, I look at the size of the Pipe, smaller is gray, Larger is Black, most can see there pipes close to the Handles. Just wish I could Really see into the Tanks to see if they are Empty LOL

Well, it doesn't quite work that way on the Wildcats at least. Mine were not reversed, but on my old TT, the handles were colored Gray and Black, as well as being over the appropriate valve (as you noted Hatchet). But on the Cat, they are up in a cabinet above the valves and tanks. And while they are labeled "Waste" and "Sewage", which should seem common sense enough, but ya know, sometimes you just get used to Black and Gray. So I put my own label above the handles that say Black and Gray!
