That's the problem nothing consistent. It's not on my pin or battery connect because I redid that stuff already. FR wiring was terrible so I redid it all. I suspect it's jammed in the back wall somewhere I just can't see...frustrating
My Wildcat 5th wheel came with the rearview camera connected to the battery disconnect switch. An inline fuse holder was connected to the cutoff switch and then on to the camera. I inserted a 12-volt switch in series with this line so I can turn off my camera when not needed.
Obviously, our trailers are wired differently but perhaps a wire with an inline fuse is connected close to the trailer’s 7-way plug and runs back to the camera.
I would trace back a short distance from pin 3 of the trailer’s 7-way plug and look for a connection and fuse holder for the camera. It might be just a blown fuse that is the problem.
Yup what he said. My buddy's Wildcat was same way fuse was behind panel holding disconnect.
Well you guys may be partially right. I found the fuse you mentioned behind docking station and sure enough its blown. Problem is put a new one in and still no power. This leads me to believe wherever the problem is maybe it caused the short and blown fuse. Back to the start!
Last time I checked, both use same camera...different receivers/displays.
Not true. Model 12 is backup and Model 48 is Observation. FOrest River installs 12's and calls them Observation. Furrion will trade. See furrion.com for more detail.

Well the camera issue is solved. Dealer removed existing power wire which was shorted against aluminum frame and ran new power from running lights. Camera was also fried in the process so new camera.
There was some mention of the 5 amp fuse behind the docking station being tied to some cameras. It does not appear it was on mine. Dealer can't figure out where this goes. Any thoughts? It's not for pump, lights jacks etc since all of that is in basement.

where do you find info about them trading? I would love to have a better camera that doesn't freeze up..
FR got back to me and confirmed that indeed the 12v 5 Amp inline fuse coming off the batter disconnect was indeed originally wired for backup camera. Irrelevant for me now that it is rewired but hopefully this helps someone else.
