How much height does a 2nd A/C add?
For example, every 2017 Wildcat 29RKP is listed as 12'3", but is that to the roof, or to the top of the standard roof air unit, or to the top of the optional 2nd A/C in the bedroom?

It is to the highest point of the trailer not the ac as mine was listed as 11' 11" and the top of ac is 12' 4".... Found this out the hard way trying to put it into a 12' 2" opening on carport!!!!!!!

Do NOT trust what they say it is. The best way is to take a level to the highest point on your roof and measure it there from the ground to the level. Most of the time a Maxx air vent or a A/C will be the highest point. I think they use the roof line only....

My second A/C unit is the more compact type so it makes the fiver no higher as it and the A/C unit that came with it are at the same height.

As the eyeball measurement goes on mine it's about a foot, but it's angled and sticking out like a sore thumb, but it's there when I need it... and it's not a Dometic.

I hope you didn't take that measurement from the specs? The only way is to measure from the highest point on the roof. I know my A/C from the factory is lower then the Maxx air vent I put in....

Web site said a 295rsx was 12'6" before optional front A/C. Added the low-profile front A/C and when I got it home it measured 13'6" to the top of that A/C which is the highest point. I carry a laser tape measure with me when I travel just in case I need to get fuel at a covered pump and I can't tell the clearance. A couple of times I also used it to measure tree limb clearance at a camp site.

When you measure, make sure it is hooked up to the truck...that can make a difference.
