Just bought first RV

Hey guys i just purchased a 2012 Wildcat 323QB Fifth wheel. Any tips on it or about wildcat? I am on the fence about the extended warranty from XtraRide? Not sure if i should get it or not? I heard Forest River offer a second year factory warranty for like 150 buck?? Is this true and how do you go about getting that?? Thanks guys

I'm sure you will enjoy your new Wildcat. Along with this excellent forum there is a Wildcat owners group if you need information about specific Wildcat questions. Their website is http://www.wildcatownerforum.com

I have a FR Sterling 32RL. I would recommend the 2nd year warranty. Sometimes it takes a while to figure out that it's not you but there really is a problem. $150 is not much money considering how much you hae in it already.

Welcome to the forum. The second year FR warranty was well worth the money to us. You can only purchase the second year warranty through FR and you have a limited time to get it after your RV purchase.

Also, jump on the FR warranty for $150. I think you have to purchase it within the first week of ownership.

I have just a normal sofa in the camper think they call it a Jack Knife sofa?? It folds out to a bed. But my question is i am thinking of changing it out to the air mattress sofa. Just wondering what is better and if they are the same size or is one bigger?

The air mattress hide-a-bed is a larger sleeping surface and many people comment that they prefer the looks and the way it "sits."

The jack knife sofa is the standard in all Wildcats and Wildcat eXtraLites. The air mattress hide-a-bed is standard in the Sterling Edition models.

So are the dimensions the same as far as replacing the jack knife with the air mattress couch, my wife really likes those and wants an upgrade.

Yes. When we upgrade a jack knife to a hide-a-bed air mattress sofa, the size is the same. However, the size of each sofa is dependent on floor plan, although there's a number of floor plans which share the same dimensions for the main floor slide room. What floor plan do you have?

You should be able to order a replacement sofa or hide-a-bed upgrade through your local Wildcat dealer or Forest River parts (574-206-7615).
