Just purchased a 32QBBS and had some questions

Never having done a 5th wheel before and reading some of the posts around about the wildcats, I wondering what the general opinion is about the stock/standard hitch pin and equalizer. I had the impression we would be getting the Trail-Air but I guess those were standard in 08 but optional in 09 and come to find out the unit we purchased does not have them. It does have 16" tires.

We’re also going with a 16K Reese Slider hitch in a 06 Dodge Crew Cab, 2500 HD – I would like to hear about anyones experiences with this hitch.

Thanks
Mike

Congrats The 32QBBS is our favorite floorplan. Sorry I can't help you with the hitch pin.

Have an 08 32QBBS as well. Ours came with the standard pinbox. I towed a few months with it, then changed it out for a Fifth Airborne pinbox.......much better.

Also have a 2006 Ram Quad cab truck. I had the 16K Reese slider and recently swapped to a Pullrite Superglide so I don't have to worry about whether I should slide the hitch or not. 1 trip so far with it, and it works great.

I have the same rig 09/ I have the Hidden Hitch slider on my short bed hd2500 gmc. love it. never had to use the slider yet after about 10 pulls/trips. My qbbs has the equa flex system all around. works wonders, you dont get the jerky pull-n-tug motion as you do with standard styles.

I have the same set up too, 06 dodge 2500, and 08 32qbbs. I can not comment on the hitch stuff, but am still trying to get the camper level when towing, either need to raise the 5er or lower the truck.

hitch

I have a 2009 32 qbbs. I installed a trail air / air ride hitch on mine this year. What a difference, dont even now it's back there. I pull with a 2009 dodge mega cab dually/ resistal package with air bags as well. Installed a b/w turn over fifth wheel with companion hitch so i have both for other trailers. Camper has trailair on leaf springs from factory. Wish i knew somebody loking for this model. want to sell and get sandpiper 355. Good luck with your quest. Gilby

We have an 09 32 QBBS. Trail air suspension and standard pin box. I pull with my 2007.5 Ram 2500 with a 6.7 Cummins. 8 foot bed eliminated the need for a slider. It pulls like dream compared to our old pull behind. I love my exhaust brake!!! I'm not to impresed with the Duro tires on the 5er though. Plan to swap them for Goodyears before we go out west next year.
