I know it may be early to ask but is there a ballpark figure on the upgrade?

Most needed upgrade in today's fifth wheels...
Just noticed a few that Ill second. Sprayed roof, as in a product like rvroof.com and shut off valves at every faucet, toilet, outdoor kitchen etc. I have added the shutoff valves myself, but would be nice if they came that way. Roof is soon to be.

Be careful wishing for a fiberglass roof. Go check out some Georgetown and Forester posts. Cracks. Also, Tiffin has fought the same for years. I said I didn't want rubber, now I won't own another fiberglass, so, I'm down to the sprayed roof, which is more than likely the route I'll take.

Just reviewed this entire thread with my design team this morning.
We're hoping Wildcat's offerings (very soon) seem like Christmas morning to everyone here!

I'm a bit surprised that no one has mentioned residential style refrigerators… we're hearing that a lot of manufacturers are looking to add them this year. Is this a needed upgrade? Or just having a larger size available?

I'm not sure I can give you an accurate "ballpark" since all dealers will price out their inventory and options differently, but I can say that MSRP on the option will be nearly $475 for the complete set (including spare).

I can see where a full timer or snowbird might want a full size residential fridge. However, I don’t think a large fridge is necessary or even wanted for weekend campers or people who take extended trips of just a week or two. Also for those who winterized their trailers, the ice maker is one more thing to remember and I’m sure easily forgotten.
The few people I know that have residential refrigerators love them for their capacity and ice maker but those folks are full timers or snowbirds. I would certainly prefer a residential refrigerator for the extra capacity if I were a snowbird.
You have to take my opinion with a grain of salt Chris because I still think an outside kitchen is redundant and completely unnecessary. I’d rather have the extra storage space an outside kitchen takes up. Judging by the popularity of the outside kitchen it’s obvious I’m clueless as to what other RVers want.

I have to agree, a residential frig in a Wildcat would be over kill. Maybe the option of a four door with ice maker that will run on both shore power and LP. I think that the average Wildcat owner is more into travel than either full time or permanent sight placement. It's also a pretty heavy item that would take away from carry capacity which for families can be tough to stay with in as it is.
Of course this is but one mans opinion, the spousal opinion may vary.

I guess we're considered snowbirds and would just like to have a larger rv refrigerator. Don't want the residential frig due to the inconvenience of it during travel. We live in ours about 3+ months and the small frig is the biggest inconvenience, but we manage just fine as we are out shopping about every other day anyway. We would not buy an 5er with a residential frig in it. That would be a big show stopper.

If the new 365saq had the larger 2 door rv fridge, we would have traded off in this year. That, and the larger bath, would have been enough of an upgrade to justify in our minds. I, also, would not go for the residential fridge.

Larger frig is a big plus...just like the residential shower we have in our Sabre was a huge selling point...our next camper will have both...especially with a growing family of four.

Th res fridge is a nice option because it affords you the ability of storing food the way you would at home. Thereby negating the daily trips to grocery store or walks to the office for ice. Yep, it's got an ice maker. I think ours is 21 cu ft. It was not even a question since we're full timers.

A larger rv style refrigerator is what I think we all want, just not the hassle of having to be hooked to a shore line.

I think one of the biggest reasons people like the outdoor kitchen is for the second fridge. Which means more extra capacity.
Anyone I've personally spoken too about their outdoor kitchens have all said they only use the fridge and occasionally the sink. But they all swear by it due to the fridge.
Now based on the comments on this site, it seems several people do actually use the whole kitchen. I just haven't met those people yet.
