New 312BHX Owners in FL

We brought home our new 312BHX this weekend and we're busy getting her ready for a shakedown trip next weekend at a local state park. Tonight, we're trying it out in the driveway.
This is our first 5th wheel and second RV. It's quite a step up from the trailer we traded in. So far, we couldn't be happier.

Congrats! And welcome to the forum!! That model was on our short list when looking at 5th wheels last year. Great use of space and i loved the outside kitchen. Enjoy camp driveway!

Looks great, congrats!! We took delivery of ours a couple of months ago and we love ours. I noticed your spare tire is mounted underneath....whereas mine came installed inside the front pass-through storage area which takes up a lot of space.

Mind posting a close up picture of how the spare is mounted?

Anything for a fellow Noles Fan. The tire is held on with a cable hoist, similar to a truck spare. I believe this was how the 2013 and early 2014 models were done. It makes sense since mine is "new" but manufactured in 2013 and was a dealer demo that was carried around to RV shows for the last year.

Pine Cone Mod added by dealer

Thanks for the pictues. I like the pine cone mod. Make sure you subtract that from the GVCCCWR5VER rating to mae sure you're not over-loaded.

Go Noles....CFB season starts in a month!!!

The shakedown trip this weekend was a success. Only a couple of minor issues found, but nothing major. The biggest problem encountered was me and my poor job backing the truck. I bumped into the kingpin with the back of the truck while trying to reposition the trailer to a better spot in the camp site. Got a brand new dent for my troubles.

Looks like a good reason to buy a new truck to me. Good looking set up you have there.

That is what I'd do, no way should a man be seen running down the road in such a wreck, think of the children man!

I'd love nothing more than to get a new truck tomorrow but after buying the new Wildcat last week, It would probably cost me a divorce... and she'd take the new truck with her.

Dave,

I feel your pain. I told my wife we needed a new laramie two tone white with silver on the bottom so it would match the front cap on the Wildcat. She was not thrilled. I am still building my Rubicon. She doesn't mind the truck so much as the add ons, drag up tank, replacement bumbers head ache racks...

It'll be a few years...

Salt,
I'm all too familiar with the Jeep (Just Empty Every Pocket) mods. Mine's not a Rubi but a money pit nonetheless...
