We wish for more counter space too but we do most of the prep work for meals before we leave to go camping or do it outside on folding tables. We do all of our cooking on the outside kitchen too. Ours is a 2013 and the bed isn't angled but slides out with the closet. We have about 30 inches of space between the bed and the front shelf.

with the angled bed and the closet in the slide i could put a recliner in the master, their is so much room, but wish it had a OS kitchen but sleeping 6 kids in the back would not work very well with that arrangement.

The island makes up for the counter space IMHO. Make sure you chevk your brake breaker in the front fold up exterior panel behind pin box. It also has the hydraulic motor. We have had ours for a year and thought the brakes were terrible. I took it in to the dealer for brakes adjustment a year later. He told me my brakes have never operated. The fuse fir them was blown, my brakes showed no wear. Lol I had to do a rear brake job on my truck and now I know why. He said this is common and I have seen several complaints from owners on FB in our 344QB page about terrible brakes. Now they are fixed, they stop like a charm.

This is why I always before pulling out with the trailer manually lock the trailer brakes with the brake controller and give it a tug to make sure the trailer brakes are working as they should be.

My brakes sucked until I replaced the entire wiring from the pin box back to the mags. Military spec wire is 100 Times better then the crap forest river uses, my resistance went from <>4 to 0. And the terminations they install are the worst.

Congrats on the purchase. My camping friends just took delivery of their 344QB about 10 days ago. We are all going the end of the month camping. Needless to say they are very excited and we are excited for them!

I am thinking about buying Wildcat 312BHX fifth wheel. Any thoughts on quality vs other 5th wheel bunkhouses?

I like my Wildcat has been good to me so far. I do belive campers are like trucks all brands have the goods and bads, you need to find what layout is good for your family.

Thanks. Layout looks great. I'm wondering how things hold up in general or if there are common things that break, leak, etc. you're right, though. Good and bad. Hope I can find one at a good price.

295RSX

Hi. My wife and I are new to the forum and new to 5th wheeling. Just took delivery on a 295RSX and plan the shakedown cruise next week. We've been RVing since '07 and this is the fifth camper we've had. I've read a lot of forum posts and am very impressed by the willingness of forum members to share helpful information. Thanks.
