OMG.... ?
I thought I would post this picture that I found 'questionable' for interest sake.
Is it just me ...or is this parking / storage spot a bit precarious ?
Especially the way it has been 'leveled off'.
Background... It is in my neighbourhood and from experience we are prone to very high winds during winter storms being a hilly area and not much wind break.
I was always under the impression that "stabilizer jacks or scissor jacks" are only meant for 'stabilizing' not for full suspension.
Even on the flat.... shouldn't the tongue be taking most of the weight for a Travel Trailer?
I am often amazed when I see at RV campgrounds some TT campers and even some 5th wheel campers will use their scissor jacks as 'leveling jacks' and going way beyond just the 'stabilizing only' aspect....often with the assistance of a portable drill/driver.
Probably just me... but I do not think they are meant to support like hydraulic powered leveling jack.
Given it is not a very large / long TT.... IMO I really think that is very risky.
Your Thoughts ?

We have a neighbor in our lot who does that to his in the winter.
Is it to make snow and ice slide off easier??

I suppose it is raised that high so it is leveled off as it is on quite a slope.
Then if they go inside they can walk around without falling. lol !

I could not see the rear, except I did see that the bumper was almost touching the ground.

This isn't the first that I've seen this. I know a guy who claims it isn't an issue at all.
My pop-up camper would have had to have been leveled like this in my driveway, but I never had the nerve to do it.

If the tongue were properly supported I'd see no issue, but there's no support at all under the tongue. Factory-installed stabilizers on modern trailers are not intended to hold the weight they're holding. Are they aftermarket jacks or was that trailer frame designed to be supported that way?
I used to park our previous Roo in our driveway that had a good slope to it. It looked similar to the pic but I had a strong support under the tongue jack. That thing doesn't even have a tongue jack!

I had to do something similar in a campground once. As long as you are not trying to raise both ends with the stab jacks it's OK. As long as it's choked good it should be safe. Lowering it would require a few sets of blocks to keep raising and lowering the tongue jack till it got near the ground.
I passed on many houses because of driveways like that. I couldn't imagine parking my car in that much of an angle let alone a trailer!

Does anyone else see JUST two wood blocks in front of the wheels? I don't know if I would walk in front of it let alone inside it!

Don't thing a tongue jack would help that much anyway. Got good cribbing But I would look at more of how the tires are blocked. Later RJD
