Reattaching cap LED light strip

When I got home from a camping trip this week I found the LED strip light on the cap of my 2018 Wildcat TT 251RBQ no longer attached. Can I reattach it with a silicone adhesive? I don’t recall if there was a cover over the light strip. If there was, I lost it going down the road. Pictures are attached.

You might consider using an automotive RTV based silicone, it does not shrink remains translucent but does not have the super strong adhesive properties of some silicones or liquid adhesive which allows you to remove what ever you are attaching should it need to be replaced. JMHO

3M VHB double sided tape in the appropriate width. Clean both surfaces before applying.
