It's funny you posted that because I've had more than one RV salesman say the same thing when trying to sell me a unit. Sometimes I wonder if RV dealerships hire used car salesmen that have been fired for poor sales.

In my area diesel fuel is up $.20 a gallon in the last 14 days. While high fuel prices won't stop weekend campers, I'd bet a dollar to a donut that it will have a dramatic affect on the number of people taking long distance trips this summer.

I was getting a little carried away there. I did leave out the little item in the night stand though.

After giving this some thought, we might actually do more long distance trips. There should be fewer units on the road, thus less competition for camping spots, and just generally fewer tourists plugging everything up.
Higher fuel prices might be a good thing!
I don't care about having to spend a few extra bucks on something we enjoy so much.

who really knows for sure ???

who really knows for sure ???

maybe todays and this summers gas prices
will be the best we will ever see again
ain't no guaranties gas will ever come down

maybe after getting a deal for many many years
now could we
be heading the way of Europes high gas prices

maybe ???
this summer will be the last best time to travel

there is a book we read and study
found in many homes these days
tells me
we don't even know if we will be here tomorrow

as long as I can still
buy a couple of cans of soup for the trip
with some high priced gas
this household will be hitting the road

and
even though he comes on as so
much of the time
no
Obama is not my Mama

In the last week or so I've been noticing price increases in general as well at the pump. I'm looking at another cut in pay on top of the current reduction of the last two years. I will still be RVing but mostly likely be staying close to home to help save on gas cost. Hopefully I can get by with trimming and not cutting.
