Roof vents

We need to replace our roof vents on our 2005 Wildcat 29RLBS 5th wheel. Does anyone know what kind of vents the factory installs on this 5th wheel for that year. They are the ones with the fans. They are brittle and 1 on them leaks so bad. Appreciate some advice on this matter.

Welcome to the forum.

I don't know what kind are on your RV, but it really doesn't make much difference. There are several different brands that will fit in the same space, and are considered interchangeable.

Before you replace the vent, are you really certain that the vent itself is leaking? Much more likely, is the seal where the vent meets the roof is leaking. That is easily repaired without replacing the vent.

As for being brittle, I am not sure I understand. The vents are rigid plastic, and are always somewhat brittle. Are you referring to something other than the body of the vent?

Roof vents

Thanks for you reply Great Horned Owl, but I think we figured out what to get...we definitely need (2) covers for each of our vents. The entire cover is starting to crack and tiny holes are in it. When I was on the roof I just touched one cover and it broke. They are originals. We took the inside cover trim off in the inside of the camper and there are no water marks or leaks around the outer edges of the opening, therefore, the covers are just not protecting the camper.

I think we ordered the correct ones....they look universal.
