Rusting Decals

We have a 2013 Wildcat Maxx 5th wheel. The decals on the slideout and right behind it are rusting ! The trailer is fiberglass, so I was shocked to see rust. Has anyone else had this problem? I tried to call Forest River, but their mailbox is full, so I emailed. No response. Any idea of how to contact them? Poor customer service.

You might try sending Wildcat Steve a Private Message. He's a rep for Wildcat Maxx.

Decals are vinyl so cannot rust. Got a pic of your decal? I'm curious to see what is happening.

With the age of your rig, very doubtful FR will do anything about it anyway.

Rusting Decals

Sorry to be so slow replying. I realize that decals are vinyl (hence my surprise), but these sparkle - maybe metallic bits in them that are rusting. Only happening on this decal. Others are fine. Wondering if anyone has seen this happen before.

I am thinking the surface was not properly treated before applying the decal. My Forester has the 3m diamond shield and the strip on the hood is doing the same thing. Looks like mold underneath.

My guess is that is the side that gets the most sun and they are starting to get baked. Blowing up the lower pic you can see the cracks typical of roasted decals. If it was rust, it would have streaks running down the side of the trailer.
