Satellite problem

My dish satellite with tailgater work fine when I bought my Wildcat a year ago. Now I am getting a snowy picture on all 3 tvs. Traced it to the Winegard tv booster. if I bypass the booster, I get a good picture. Winegard said that their booster is not supposed to be used with satellite, just cable. Has anyone had this problem? Better yet a solution. Thought about an in line booster for the satellite cable.

Antenna booster

You have to turn off the antenna amplifier when using the SAT system. It will cause all kinds of interference if left on while using the SAT system.

I've always thought the booster/amplifier should only be used with antenna-vision, not satellite OR cable.

We have input for cable and sat outside. Not sure if your have one or two. If you have two then the booster should have no affect on the sat if it is all wired correctly. We have had sat(tailgator), cable and antenna all hooked up together. Booster on and get antenna. Booster off and get cable. Booster has no affect on sat. In fact we use the antenna (booster on) with our dish (requires connector) to feed the antenna channels into our dish box. Dish integrates the locals into the guide data and then we can record using their DVR feature.

Have one cable/satellite input on outside of trailer. Did work like you stated but not now. That's the problem I am trying to solve.
