last trip home had the dinette table tip over, gouged the drawers in the peninsula pretty good. The table was tied down the same as always, actually we've never undone the strap since getting the trailer in June. I messed around with it some but it sure is not very secure. I actually wrapped it around the pedestal this time but it still moves A LOT. Has anyone had this issue and what did you do to solve it?
I had the same problem, sans the damage, where the dinning table would walk around (unsecured) on any trips.
Didn't want the table fixed to any one location, as we like to move it around.
I bought some anchor eyes that fixed the problem, for the dinning table & chairs and the 2 rocker recliners as well.
I used 2 inch webbing and cinch buckles to secure the table & chairs... quite an easy fix. Snaps at the ends to go onto the anchor eyes and snap-together-buckles to join the webbing pieces.
The web strap goes up over the top of the table at the center down to the floor anchors... the chairs are secured to the table down low via bungee cords...using pool noodle pieces to prevent chafe.
Attached are the anchor eyes I used...painter the color of your choice.
PS I sewed the webbing to attach the buckles and snaps.

Where did you get the webbing and buckles? Sourcing the anchors is easy. I like the idea of going up and over the table, won't go anywhere that way. And need a better method of securing our recliners too. Thanks, you've given me some ideas.

I got my buckles and webbing from a local fabric store.
If you can't find them there try a marine supply store.
The recliners were a bit more tricky to secure....but with some thought I'm sure you can find a way.
Tip: I used pieces of pool noddle cut to fit in places to prevent chafe.
Pool noodles are my friend.... they are invaluable to have in any camper!
Here is the picture of one way I secured the recliners & the snap buckles I used.
Walmart sells the fastex buckles, I think in the camping section. Strapping in crafts or fabrics.
The buckles are sometimes cheaper and in quantities from eBay.

This happened to us when we brought our RV home. Table and chairs were not secured correctly and fell through a cabinet door. Luckily dealer paid to fix.
We now run the strap over the top of the table as usual. Then we push all the dining chairs in as close as possible to the table and run a strap through the chair legs in a circle to cinch them up against the table. No more falling table problems.
