Slideout problems

I have a 2012 FR Wilcat 322RK. The bedroom slideout is starting to give me problems. Recently, one side did not seem to be working. Service at dealer said they found a loose connection. Now, it starts to open and will stop. I can bring it in a little bit and open some more. A couple of these steps and it finally opens. Same problem closing.

Camping right now and the slide is open, but I sure am concerned if it will close correctly when I am ready to leave. How does one close that thing if it messes up? Where are the electric motors? How do you get to them? HELP!

I purchased a used 2012 Wildcat in May of this year. On the first outing when we were getting ready to go home the bedroom slide out would not close all the way. It finally closed but pushed the bottom motor on the front side out, so it then made the fiberglass bulge. When I took it to get it repaired the shop said it had rivets holding the metal braces the go up and down. He showed me the back side of the slide out and they were what looked like wood screws holding the slide in and factory screws. I took it back to the dealer I bought it from and had them fix it , still does not shut and screws they put in are coming out. 1st repair place said boards on the inside need to be replaced. Has anyone had the same problems ?

After doing a lot of research, I have learned a couple of things about the Lippert-Schwinteh slideout system. The slideout is opened and closed by 2 small electrical motors that are inside the frame. The logic board counts revolutions from the motors to know when the slideout is fully opened and closed. Sometimes the logic gets out of whack and one side of the slideout will not be in the same position as the other. The control logic has to be retimed.
1. Move the slideout to full open, may take a few times to press out if one side stops before the other.
2. Press in until slideout is about 8-10 inches in.
3. Press out again until both sides are fully extended.
4. Repeat at least 3 times.
5. Both sides should open and close together. If not repeat.
6. This is very important!! ALWAYS hold the in or out switch down for at least 5 seconds after slideout movement stops. This helps the control logic board reset the revolution counter.

The swith on a hydraulic? operated slideout should be released when the motor load increases.

Do you think from your research that this is a design problem and that the problems will continue and even break the fiberglass walls ?
