So my 295rsx bedroom slide still leaks
, can anybody tell me when the slide is extended is there some kind of inner seal besides that little gray foam weather stripping that should be tight against the frame to keep water out?. There's an outer seal around the slide that when the slide is closed it keeps the weather out, what about on the inside????When it is fully opened nothing seals around the frame besides that flexible seal arounds the outside.

Do you have a slide cover? Here are pics of the inside of my bedroom slide. We have been in very heavy rain and never had any water get inside. We have a 2015 295RSX and love it.

Thanks so much for the pics,is there anyway possible to see what the inside seal looks like,in other words when the slide is open all the way what is contacting the frame of the slide?There is a .5 gray foam type seal that one would think would butt up against the frame, it's almost like the slide should be further out..

Enjoy, Pikes Peak is a great ride up. Use lower gears on the way back down to save the brakes. Also would recommend staying at Colorado Springs for a day or two to somewhat get used to the altitude, many flat landers keel over from heart/altitude sickness. Stay hydrated, have good sunglasses and sun screen. It's amazing how fast you can burn. Wear layered water proof clothing,you can hit anything from beautiful sunshine to snow. Also go earlier in the day, less chance of afternoon thunderstorms..Driving up is cool but you can also take the tram up from Manitou Springs. If you want to see a great view of Denver try going up mount Evans. The ride up can be very exciting or maybe the ride down,sheer cliffs with no guard rails. there's a little pucker factor there especially for the passenger side.

I'd like to be able help you solve the leak in your 295RSX but, alas, I'm in the same boat. I've pulled mine to my dealership 3x to have this fixed... and it stopped leaking for a while. It started leaking again in June. It's on the list for repair at the Goshen rally.

I took pictures of my interior seals which are non existing and sent them to the warranty manager at RVAMERICA, she forwarded them to FR, how can you miss not installing seals,Yeesh......

got a 2015 295rsx. Same issue bedroom closet slide leaks. So in that pic is that actually an additional white seal on the inside? Mine doesn't have it either. Only a 1'8" wide piece of foam weather stripping.

Thats exactly what I have, I looked at a 2016 295rsx and it has different seals that I(we) have, The pictures above look nothing like what I have.

So did they ever fix your leak? If so, do you know exactly what they did to resolve it? Still dealing with mine. As far as I know it is just dripping on the bottom corner next to shower the other side seems dry (carpet not damp or other signs that I can see). Thanks for any input.

My 295RSX still leaks in the same exact spot. I set a plastic cup in that spot and catch all drips. My rig has been to the dealership 3x to fix the leak and the last fix worked for a couple of months (until I took it on a 400+ mile trip). It's on my service request list for Goshen.

Wow well ok guess I'm about to take mine back in for the third time on the closet leak momentarily. We'll see what they do this time. If anyone gets this fixed please update the thread and let us know what they did to correct it.

Some dealerships offer a Seal Tech pressure leak test as is shown in this video. I asked my dealership to buy and use the equipment. As far as I know, they didn't take my suggestion!

Not fixed yet, I posted pictures to the warranty person at RVAMERICA and she forwarded that to FR,still waiting to hear back from them. Meanwhile i have an aluminum pan sitting at the same corner as everybody else.

I showed pics in this thread to the Goshen tech crew assigned to my unit. They determined I don't have the issue of missing seals. Instead, these guys found a gap between two pieces of seal on top where my dealership had patched the hole with some sort of material my guy said "looks like felt". This PATCH was saturated from a rain shower this morning. They removed the dealership patch and "did it right"... or so I hope!

The white you see is EPDM rubber. Same as most RV roofs. It is installed on some mfrs slides. It is stapled to the side wall about 3-4" from the slide horse shoe. Then folded over to the outside of the inner wall , it forms an angle shaped piece in the corner. When the slide is all the way out it crushes up against the rubber to form an added seal inside. Its used very often with the schwintek slide system with the cables on the side . because the double sweep seal will not seal with the cable in the way.
