Surge/Voltage Protection

What is everyone using for surge and voltage protection? I would prefer a hard wired unit so that someone doesn't walk off with it.

We use the portable unit, with a bike cable lock. I added a plate to the bottom of the surge guard that the cable runs thru and then around the post. Someone would need bolt cutters to get it loose. Then again the campgrounds we use are not prone to theft of items.

Ditto on getting a Progressive Industries hardwired unit. They make great stuff.

Not sure what amperage unit you want, but I got the 50 Amp for our rig. With their hardwired units, you get a remote display unit that mounts inside your rig to keep on eye on power consumption and amperage draw.

I just bought this. The price is the best I've ever seen and it now has a lifetime warranty. The 50 amp model is also on sale.

I have a 50 amp service but sometimes can only get 30 amp. If I buy a hardwired 50 amp surge will it still work when I only have access to 30 amp? If so, then I am thinking about the one below. Let me know what you think.

50 Amp Surge Protector with Voltage Protection - Progressive Industries Inc EMS-HW50C - Surge Protectors - Camping World
