The Leak Continues

Hi friends,
I need some joined problem-solving brain power. We have a 2013 Wildcat 337FB with a leak in the rear corner. The leak is near a slide, so our first thought was seal malfunction. We had the seals replaced by the dealer, but the leak continues. It does appear that it only leaks when the unit is closed (though I'm not entirely certain this is the case.) I have attached photos. The inside photos are with the slide slightly retracted. Also, the previous owner did hook the rear of the unit on something, as you can see from the photos, but it was repaired at the dealer. So, I do not believe this to be the culprit, especially since the problem presents only when closed. Anyone else had this problem before?

Does it only happen when you use it or sitting? Have you checked under the cover of the AC unit. Ya never know if water is leaking from there.

I remember the older Wildcats had corner leak issues at top rear corners where the corner molding strip ended on the roof. I keep a close watch on mine and so far no issues. A friend of mine with a Wildcat had a corner leak and damaged his back wall he thought it was from his taillight but it was from the roof.

Thanks for the quick reply. The best I can tell, it only happens when sitting, with slides pulled in. We did have the dealer check and reseal the roof.

I considered the taillight and the electric port too, even applied a little caulking to be extra cautious. I'll see if it helps, but from the inside, I can see no wall damage. It's all definitely at the floor level.

Also if I remember the front and rear walls are wood framed on the Wildcats so it is possible for the leak to run down outside skin to the bottom. I thought mine was all aluminum frame but when I changed the rear lights to led found was wood framed then read on another forum they were wood framed front and rear walls. Also on my slides even if they were to leak past the seals when retracted the corners have a recessed metal plate where any water would be funneled to the outside. Also on mine the radio antenna is threw the roof at that corner and the wire drops into that back wall.

It's rather hard to tell if your trailer is designed like our 2016 MAXX or not. Our trailer has a "belly band" all around the unit a couple of feet from the bottom edge. This is where the fiberglass siding meets the sheet metal skirting that covers the bottom portion of the each side panel. The "belly band" is sealed both top and bottom to prevent water intrusion. We developed a leak at the belly band because it pulled away from the fiberglass siding and allowed water to enter there the sealant was split. I kept thinking it was a roof leak until I finally "woke up" to the belly band problem.
As I said, this may not even apply to your problem but figured I'd throw it out. Good luck!

We had the same leak on our 2010 wildcat. It turned out to be the molding along the bottom of the slide, water was getting inside the plastic screw cover and was running the little track inside the RV, right at the wall. When the slide was in it would leak further back along the slide floor.

Our dealer removed all of those types the molding with the plastic cover on each slide, and installed white angled aluminum on the bottom of each slide, this solved the leak.
