Thanks to Chris and Bryan all my problems were taken care of in a top notch manner.

I also had some warranty work taken care of locally but a dealer that was not the selling dealer, it couldn't have gone any better either.

Have you tried working with the dealer you bought it from? Maybe they have relationship with somebody at FR and can this pushed through.

And, I guess worst case, take them up the offer for new doors. Either what they say is true, and even though its not the best method, maybe the new doors hold up better. Or, if they have the same issue, now you have a paper trail and a stronger case for a more involved fix.

I have had the best luck contacting the manufacturer of the specific part. I called Dometic when my air conditioner went out. They sent a new one and paid the repair bill. My king pin was damaged and Lippert sent me a new one without me going to the dealership (100 mile trip) and paid for the repair. On both occassions I went around Forest River warranty department because I didn't want the aggravation.

Wise decision as the factory will more times than not tell you to contact the individual component manufacturer directly. I guess that is all part of FR’s superior customer service…LOL.

I had the same exact issue on a Heartland North Trail several years ago. I found that when the hinge pops out that applying some superglue to the plastic inserts for the screws would hold them tight. I had 7 overhead door fronts and IIRC 5 came loose. After using the superglue none ever popped out again. It's a simple 5 minute fix per cabinet door. Not worth the time to take it in for a warranty fix IMO.
