Water heater

2017 wildcat max 285RKX. Water heater has a switch out side to turn it on electric. Can I have it on electric and turn on the propane heater switch inside so that the propane helps boost recovery?

You know...I've never tried it, and wonder if it's even possible. Give it a try...either they'll both work or one will cancel out the other.

We have a 2015 sandpiper but it sounds like we have the same switches. When on electric propane will not work until electric is turned off.

This is not true if you have a Suburban water heater. If you turn on both the recovery time will be quicker. There are manuals in the library section for Suburban water heaters if you don't have them. It explains it in the manual.

Agree, I've ran both my Suburban and my Atwood WHs on electricity and propane simultaneously.
