the pump is usually near the water inlet to the trailer in the basement. On older models, the steps are indeed storage areas. I keep my shoes there.

Question Water Pump

Thanks for the reply,,,,but I'm gonna have to sound like such a noob. When you say the basement you are speaking of the front storage area under the bedroom?

Yes, that is correct. It should be within 3' of the outside inlet. This is so when you winterize and install the antifreeze, you fill up the hose from the inlet to the pump.

Are there not at least 2 outside "Inlets", 1 for City Water and another for Fresh Water Tank, with a possible 3rd for "Anti-Freeze"? Youroo!!

Yes 2, one for city water. 1 for tank fill. The antifreeze hook up will be hose at the pump hooked to a bypass valve. The Water Tank is not a hookup. Just a water fill opening.

The 'basement' is referred to as ANY storage/access area under the main floor.

On mine the water pump is in the basement hanging from the ceiling and no where near the water inlets. If you didn't get down on your knees you would never find it.
