You can mount strongarms with the sunken battery box. All you need to do is put a stop-bolt in to prevent the legs from coming all the way up when retracted:

Here they are extended:


And you can see them retracted in this photo:


We've had them this way for a year and no issues.

Those still hang a bit low for my comfort, I'd be afraid of it dragging on a driveway or similar. I'm sure it's fine, I just hate having to rig things. It was easy enough to move the battery box.

Haven't even come close to dragging them...if they hit I'm in a spot where I shouldn't be..

Well the new 2015 wild cat max 262RGX Has the spair tire up front in the way and they welded to the frame
