Wildcat 327CK

Anyone out there with thoughts on the 2014 Wildcat 327CK. We really like the new floorplan but were wondering about others experiences with this model. Also does anyone have a washer/dryer installed?

Thanks in advance for your help.

We just bought ours about 60 days ago. Have taken it out once. Other than a few minor issues that are being done, we LOVE it!

The Wildcat 327 CK is nearly identical to the Heritage Glen 327 RES that we just ordered. I liked both, did get a better deal on the HG than I could find on the WC and we liked the bathroom layout better on the HG. Both great FR products!

We looked at the 327CK and was pretty impressed with it. Wildcat has made some nice changes from the 2013 to the 2014 list of standard features which make it appear as a more expensive RV.

In the end we still went with the 2013 353LS mainly due to the bath and a half floor plan. It also offered more cabinet storage then we should ever need......that of course doesn't mean that the wife can't fill it all up however.

Make sure you have a good dealer as you are going to need them. I made the mistake of buying 500 miles away and the local dealer for Wildcat is a zero. The quality control on these units is the worst. My 327CK is a fix or repair daily unit. From doors, gaskets to slides, I thought I was buying Relaxation wrong. The next trailer I buy will either the cheapest on the market (as I know I will have to fix a lot) or a Airstream (no slide or gaskets to deal with). There are Airstreams 40 years old still out there, don't see too many Forest River brands. One very upset owner of a 2014 Wildcat 327CK. Chris

Welcome! Glad you're here.

If you mean the 327 CK, there isn't one.

Are you sure as in positive that it came with a water filter as standard equipment?

We just assumed that it did. Looking at paperwork and not seeing a pamphlet for one

Not having a factory installed filter is my choice to be honest. I simply use one of the in line filters that hooks up to the water hose feeding the RV. They can be picked up at Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes, or any hardware store not to mention Amazon.com.

Adding a filter is kind of a piece of mind item. When we go out we usually stick to bottled water for drinking and use the RV park water for dishes, showers and such.

An inline filter will cost anywhere from $14 to $20 if you choose to go this route.

Happy Camping,
Jon

And Oh Yea, Congratulations on your new Wildcat. The more time you spend in it, the more you will be impressed.

We had a 2007 Jayco travel trailer and wanted to upgrade to a 5th wheel and after doing doing extensive research we ordered a Wildcat 327CK in early April and took delivery in late May. The Forest River forum was a wealth of information that contributed to our decision. Wildcat Chris also contributed to our decision with his helpful nature and quick replies to forum members.

We went on a shakedown trip for 4 days and with the exception of a unlevel slideout the unit met our expectations. There is more storage area than we (there are two of us) will ever need. The layout is great, the shower is large and with 55-60-psi water pressure has a good spray.

We use the trailer approximitely 4 months a year. We are from NE Pennsylvania and are presently in western South Dakota. We pull with 2012 F250 4x4 Lariat super cab equipped with 4:30 gears. Our hitch is a B&W Companion. Being new to pulling a 5th wheel, I was very pleased with the experience. MPG though Pa, Ohio, Ind, Ill and the eastern part if Iowa was in the low 9's. From central Iowa to Rapid City, Sd the MPG was in the low 8's.

We would suggest the following convenience changes to the 327CK...A bathroom wall switch for the exhaust fan and a switch for the electric option of the water heater inside the rv.

Forgot to say the truck is equipped with a 6.2 gas engine.
